Description

Sick of clamp racks that never fit quite right?

I had clamps of all sizes, from different brands, jammed into half-baked storage that never worked. Some were too loose, others didn’t fit at all — and somehow, there was always one clamp teetering on the edge, ready to fall.

So I built my own. One rack that fits everything, uses minimal material, and adapts to your workshop.

This one finally solved the problem.

What It Does

  • It fits any F-clamp, no matter the brand or size. If it’s an F-style clamp, it works.
  • Each rack holds up to 40 clamps, with two 600mm (23 5/8") wide racks included in the design.
  • The build is quick and easy — even if you’re new to woodworking, you can put this together in under an hour.
  • It only takes half a sheet of plywood for both racks, making it highly material-efficient.
  • You can customize the layout however you want — add, remove, or rearrange clamp slots without starting from scratch.
  • There’s even bonus storage space behind the clamps that’s perfect for glue, pencils, tape, and other small essentials.

How You Can Build It

  • This rack is built to be simple enough for beginners and effective enough for pros.
  • You’ll receive a 12-page PDF plan with step-by-step instructions, helpful illustrations, and build tips.
  • There’s a complete materials list so you know exactly what to get, plus tool recommendations with clickable links to speed things up.
  • The included cut sheet has dimensions in both inches and millimeters, and you’ll find full-color photos so you can see exactly what the finished product looks like.

What’s Included

You’ll get the 12-page clamp rack plan, a cut sheet and materials list, tool links and build tips, and detailed photos of the rack in action.

There’s also a YouTube video walkthrough so you can build along with me.

This design came from real-world frustration, and it ended up being the only clamp rack I’ve actually stuck with. It’s simple, tough, and flexible enough to grow with your shop. Now my clamps are organized, easy to grab, and out of the way.
