My Story

Hey, I’m Josh!

Creativity has always been in my family. My grandad had a gift for turning just about anything into something useful - whether it was salvaged scrap or a sketch on paper. He was an artist, a musician, and a hands-on maker, and I like to think some of that rubbed off on me… eventually.

It wasn’t until my early 20s that it really clicked. I helped a friend fix up a rental property and realized I actually enjoyed working with my hands. One small job turned into another, and before long, I was running my own renovation business doing kitchens, bathrooms, carpentry, and just about everything in between.

Back when I was younger, I had dreams of becoming a psychiatrist, but it turned out, sitting still in an office all day wasn’t really my thing. I found more satisfaction solving problems with tools than textbooks.

After nearly ten years living in the UK, my family and I made the move to Australia in 2012 and it’s been home ever since. These days, I work out of a small two-car garage. It might not sound cramped, but when you’re constantly building and experimenting, space disappears fast.

I’m passionate about finding smart, practical ways to make the most of limited space. I enjoy taking what looks like a complex problem and breaking it down into simple, workable solutions - and that’s really where this part of my journey began. Every design I create is shaped by real, hands-on experience and the drive to make workshops more efficient, no matter the size.
